Thomas
Jefferson, the third president of the United States of America and an icon of
freedom, had contrasting views on both the Native Americans and the African
Americans. Jefferson believed that slavery was an immoral act and that it
should be discouraged at all levels despite the fact that he argued that, the
Negroes were an inferior race to the whites (Catlett 90). In his view, it was
dangerous for the people of America to continue practicing slavery on the
Negroes since it undermined the concept that all men are equal before God and
that it tainted the American morals. A similar contrasting view on the Native
Americans is that, he viewed them as unspoiled group though he advocated their
extinction.

the American history between 1865-1945.Women equality and African American
racial issues are the ones that have changed a great deal between these periods.
There have been various events that have led to the development of these
changes. During this time women fought hard to have equality to men. For
example there was a movement called the women’s suffrage movement that began in
1848. This was followed by the declaration of sentiments that demanded equal
rights for women. Some of the women leaders at the time were Elizabeth Stanton,

The Roman Catholic Church has had an immense influence on Cuba. In around 1950, 80 percent of the Cubans were Roman Catholics but only 10 percent were energetic members.
